As you enter the Inn's front door, you are welcomed into our living room graced by a native stone fireplace and hearth with a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. On cool nights, with a fire flickering in the fireplace, our living room is a wonderful place to hang out and have a glass of wine, chat, or read. The walls in the living room and the dining room are covered with the work of local painters and photographers whose focus is the beauty of the High Desert.

The dining room comes alive every morning with our guests'anticipation of their day of exploration. During the winter and on cool desert mornings, you can sit by the fire and enjoy. Continental breakfast is available from 8:00 until 9:30 A.M. The dining room is available throughout the day and evenings for small meetings, retreats and workshops.

Mornings are particularly beautiful and enjoyable here at the Inn. As the sun rises over the vast desert and the village of Joshua Tree, it warms our swimming pool and passes over the courtyard to kiss the vine-covered veranda. You may choose to enjoy your morning coffee or tea seated at the small table outside your room in the shade beneath the veranda, or by the pool.

Tables outside the dining room also welcome guests who catch the first rays of the sun over breakfast. You never know who might show up; it might be a jackrabbit, a ground squirrel, a roadrunner, or any number of wrens, finches, mourning doves or hummingbirds.

In the office are photographs of some of the musical geniuses that have spent time at the Inn over the years. Some of the musicians who have enjoyed staying in the Inn are Gram Parsons, Donovan, the Rolling Stones, the Eagles, Emmylou Harris and the Byrds among others.
